ScoutMakes RF Remote Receiver Breakout

Add instant wireless control to your next project with the ScoutMakes RF Remote Receiver — a beginner-friendly 315MHz receiver breakout that ships already paired to a 4-button remote control key fob. No Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no pairing apps: just press a button.

Connect the board to your microcontroller over I2C and every button press on the fob becomes something your code can read. Turn NeoPixels on and off, trigger sound effects, swing a servo, or start and stop a motor — anything you want to control wirelessly, this board makes easy.

Why RF instead of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi? A simple RF remote needs no phone, no network, and no connection setup. Power up your project and the fob just works — ideal for costumes, props, robots, holiday lights, and classroom builds where you want reliable one-press control without extra complexity.

I2C or GPIO — your choice: over I2C, the PCA9536 exposes all four fob buttons through just two wires, leaving your other pins free, and Qwiic/STEMMA QT lets you daisy-chain it with other sensors. If you'd rather keep things as simple as possible, wire the four channel outputs directly to digital inputs and read them like ordinary buttons.

What's in the box
