Building an FM receiver from scratch usually means juggling resistors, capacitors, transistors, and an amplifier. Instead, this kit is built around a single integrated chip — the RDA5807M, a broadcast FM stereo tuner with a fully integrated synthesizer and a low-IF digital audio processor — on a PCB that complies with the Feather and STEMMA standards, programmable via a CircuitPython library.
The kit also receives and decodes Radio Data Service (RDS) content — the same protocol that shows song and station names on a modern car stereo.
